Program|Pavilion off a Bike Trail

 

The West Orange Trail is a popular bike trail used by locals for various types of recreation. Parks and concession areas are currently found throughout the trail. I would like to propose an additional intervention which would benefit the users of the trail in a unique way.

 

After stumbling upon a beautiful lake with a private airport behind it, I knew this had to be my site. I decided to take advantage of the lake by creating a pavilion for kayaking and viewing the airplanes taking flight. The intention was to provide a new unique destination for locals, which would promote the interaction of different activities taking place in their community.
